He is up to date on all vaccines, HW and Flea prevention and has been microchipped.

Teddy looks older than he acts. He has a lot of energy and requires someone who is willing to take him on walks or exercise him routinely. He may do well as an agility dog. He does ok with cats so long as they don’t get close to his treats or canned dog food.

 

He will guard treats or anything he really likes. He doesn’t care about dry dog food so he doesn’t respond when cats come around that.

Teddy loves people and likes to give kisses. He will follow you around and wants nothing more than to lay on you when you are sitting. He is submissive when corrected for unwanted behavior. He is a smart boy who knows some commands like sit and go potty. He is in the process of learning to use a pet door. Overall He is a very sweet boy who needs someone who is able to give him attention and take care of his exercise needs.

Please note: This application is forwarded to several Buckeye Basset Hound Rescue volunteers who respond in a coordinated effort. Your personal information will never be shared. If you are contacted and we do not receive a response within two (2) weeks then your application will not be considered.
