Charlie
It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that one of our recent adoption successes, Charlie, crossed over the bridge. Unfortunately, Charlie had more special needs than we realized. After a wonderful day with a doggy play date at the park and hours of snuggling, his breathing became labored late in the evening. Charlie's family rushed him to the ER. He was diagnosed with a high grade 3rd degree AV block, also known as complete heart block, that would require an emergency pace maker. During Charlie's assessment, the team of vets discovered metastatic lung cancer and an additional mass in his abdomen. Although his family only knew him for a short time, they are devastated by the loss, "Charlie, I hope we brought you as much joy, love, and contentment as you brought us! I will love you forever." - Rest Peacefully Charlie ♥

JR
It is with an extremely heavy heart that we inform everyone Junior did not make it. He passed in Amy's car on the way to the vet. Dr Bando confirmed it was bloat. We are so saddened by this loss, knowing that he was loved by everyone in this group. Seeing him receive so much love and care in these past few days brings a little joy to this tragedy. Rest Peacefully Junior - ♥

Mitzi
It is with a heavy heart and complete sadness that one of our recent rescues Mitzi crossed over the bridge last night. She did so with the loving arms around her of her Foster Mom Bobbie Strong. For that we are grateful. She knew she was loved and mattered as she left us. Thank You Bobbie for helping her❤️ She had multiple health issues and was in tremendous pain. They could not get the pain under control no matter what treatment they tried. The kindest thing that could be done was to release her from the pain and suffering. Though she was with us only a short time she left her paw prints on many hearts. We try very hard to save and rehabilitate each rescued soul that comes to us, but sometimes we just can't fix them. It truly is heartbreaking. With her in our hearts and memory we will continue to rescue those who need us most. Run Pain Free Sweet Mitzi ❤️
